Your First Visit

We are glad you found us.

Switching dentists or coming back after a long break can feel like a big step. We try to make it an easy one.

At your first visit, Dr. Nisha Patel gets to know you, your health and your goals. We take any X-rays that are due, do a full exam and, in most cases, a cleaning the same day.

Then we sit down and talk. You will know what we found, what needs attention now, what can wait, and what it is likely to cost. No pressure and no surprises.

What to Expect

Your first visit in three steps.

Most new patient visits take about an hour to an hour and a half.

1. Check-In

Our team confirms your details, insurance and health history. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes early helps.

2. Exam & X-Rays

Digital X-rays, a full exam of your teeth and gums and an oral cancer screening. Usually a cleaning too.

3. Your Plan

Dr. Patel explains what she found and your options. You get a written estimate before any treatment.

What to bring

Scheduling that works around you

Both offices are open Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and Sunday visits are available by appointment. Saturday hours make it easier for working parents and students. Walk-ins are welcome too. You can call the office closest to you or send us a message through the form below, and we will reply within one business day.

Insurance and payment

We accept most major dental insurance plans, as well as Texas Medicaid and CHIP. We verify your benefits before your visit and file claims for you. No insurance? Our in-house membership plan covers routine care with no waiting periods, and new patients without insurance can ask about our $59 new patient special (exam, X-ray and oral cancer screening).

Nervous about the dentist?

You are not alone, and you do not have to explain yourself. Tell us what makes you uneasy. We can go slower, explain each step before we do it, and agree on a signal for when you need a break. Many of our most anxious patients are now our most regular ones.

Frequently asked questions

A photo ID, your dental insurance card (or Medicaid/CHIP card), a list of medications, and any recent X-rays if you have them.

How long is the first appointment?

Plan on about an hour to an hour and a half. It includes X-rays, a full exam and, in most cases, a cleaning.

Completely okay. We see it all the time and there is no judgment here. We will start where you are and make a plan together.
