Emergency & Walk-In Care

In pain? We will see you.

If you have a toothache, a broken tooth, swelling or a crown that came off, call the office closest to you. We do our best to see emergency patients the same day.

Walk-ins are welcome at both offices Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Calling ahead helps us get ready for you and cut down your wait.

Our first priority is getting you out of pain. Then we explain what happened and your options for fixing it, with costs upfront.

Common Emergencies

What counts as a dental emergency?

If you are not sure, call us. We would rather hear from you early.

Severe Toothache

Throbbing pain, pain that wakes you up, or pain with swelling can mean an infection that needs care soon.

Root canal care →

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Save any pieces, rinse your mouth with warm water and use a cold compress on your face for swelling.

Crowns →

Lost Filling or Crown

Keep the crown if you have it and bring it in. Avoid chewing on that side until we see you.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Pick it up by the top, not the root. Rinse gently, try to put it back in the socket or keep it in milk, and get here fast. Time matters.

Swelling or Abscess

A swollen face or gum, or a pimple on the gum, can be a sign of infection that should not wait.

Wisdom Tooth Pain

Pain and swelling around a partly erupted wisdom tooth is common. We can calm it down and talk about next steps.

Walk-ins welcome

Both our Sugar Land office and our Houston office accept walk-in patients during business hours, Monday to Saturday. Sundays are by appointment. If you can, call before you head over so we can tell you the best time to arrive.

What to do until you get here

When to go to the ER instead

If you have swelling that is spreading to your eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, a high fever with dental swelling, or a jaw injury from an accident, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. These can be serious and need hospital care first.

Emergency care and insurance

Emergency exams and treatment are covered by many dental plans. We accept most major insurance plans and Medicaid and CHIP. No insurance? Ask about our $21 emergency visit special, which includes a limited exam and X-ray, and our in-house membership plan. We always give you a clear estimate before treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take walk-in dental emergencies?

Yes. Walk-ins are welcome at both our Sugar Land and Houston offices, Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Calling ahead helps reduce your wait.

Can I be seen the same day for a toothache?

We do our best to see emergency patients the same day. Call the office closest to you as early as possible.

What should I do if my tooth gets knocked out?

Pick the tooth up by the crown, rinse it gently without scrubbing, and try to place it back in the socket. If you cannot, keep it in milk and get to a dentist within an hour if possible.

When should I go to the emergency room instead of the dentist?

Go to the ER for swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, swelling spreading toward the eye or neck, high fever with facial swelling, or a serious jaw injury.

Two offices, one dentist. Emergency Dentist is available at our Sugar Land office (12921 West Bellfort Ave, (281) 240-1177) and our Houston office (12861 Gulf Freeway, (281) 922-1919). Walk-ins welcome, free parking at both.
