Mouth Guards, Night Guards & Retainers

Custom-fit appliances that protect your teeth on the field, while you sleep and after orthodontic treatment.

Protective Appliances

Small appliance, big protection.

A custom guard is made from an impression or scan of your own teeth, so it fits snugly, stays in place and is easier to breathe and talk in than a boil-and-bite guard from the store.

Whether you grind your teeth at night, play sports, or just finished Invisalign or braces, the right appliance can save you from much bigger dental bills later.

Getting one is simple: one visit for impressions and a short visit to pick it up and check the fit.

What We Make

Custom appliances for every need.

Each one is made for your mouth only.

Night Guard

Many people grind or clench while they sleep without knowing it. A night guard protects your enamel, crowns and veneers and can ease jaw soreness and morning headaches.

Mouth Guard

A custom sports guard for football, basketball, soccer, martial arts and more. Protects against chipped and knocked-out teeth.

Retainers

Clear or wire retainers keep teeth in place after Invisalign or braces. We can also replace a lost or broken retainer.

Signs you may be grinding your teeth

Stress, sleep issues and bite problems can all play a role. A night guard does not stop grinding, but it takes the damage so your teeth do not.

Custom vs. store-bought guards

Store-bought guards are bulky and often do not stay put, so many people stop wearing them. A custom guard is thinner, more comfortable and fits your bite exactly, which means you are much more likely to wear it every night or every game.

Caring for your guard

Rinse and brush your guard with cool water after each use, let it dry and keep it in its case. Avoid hot water, which can warp it. Bring it to your regular checkups so we can check the fit and condition.

Frequently asked questions

Do I really need a night guard?

If you grind or clench your teeth, a night guard can prevent cracked teeth, worn enamel and jaw pain. We can usually see the signs of grinding during a regular exam.

How long does a custom night guard last?

Many custom night guards last several years depending on how hard you grind. Bring it to your checkups and we will let you know when it needs replacing.

Can kids get custom mouth guards for sports?

Yes. Custom sports guards are a great idea for kids and teens in contact sports. They may need a new one as their mouth grows.

I lost my retainer. Can you make a new one?

Yes. Call us soon, since teeth can start to shift quickly without a retainer.
